Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a gentle, holistic therapy that has been practised for thousands of years to support health and wellbeing. It involves the insertion of very fine, sterile, single-use needles into carefully selected points on the body.
Rather than focusing on a single symptom, acupuncture takes a whole-person approach, recognising the close connection between the body and mind. Time is taken to build an understanding of your health, considering not only what has brought you to treatment, but also the wider factors that may be influencing your wellbeing.
Many people seek acupuncture during times of stress, anxiety, emotional overwhelm or when life feels out of balance. Others come with physical symptoms such as pain, headaches or digestive concerns. As our mental, emotional and physical health are closely connected, treatment considers all aspects of your wellbeing rather than viewing them in isolation.

Your first appointment is a chance for us to explore what has brought you to acupuncture and how you're feeling in yourself. We'll take time to discuss your health, your medical history, your lifestyle and any questions you may have, helping me to build a broader understanding of your health and wellbeing.
Looking at the bigger picture allows your treatment to be tailored to you as an individual, rather than focusing on symptoms alone. You'll also receive your first acupuncture treatment during this appointment.

Follow-up appointments provide time to check in, talk about how you've been since your last visit, and explore anything that feels important for you on the day. Your acupuncture treatment will be tailored to what is present for you at each appointment, allowing space for your care to evolve naturally over time.
